About the Convention

The ILGOP 2020 State Convention is taking place in Peoria at the Peoria Civic Center from Friday, June 12th, to Saturday, June 13th. All Illinois Republicans are encouraged to attend!

Join the Fight to Rebuild Illinois
The Illinois Republican Party has an ambitious plan to win back the 6th, 14th, and 17th congressional districts while defending our incumbents. We plan to defeat the progressive income tax, eat into Madigan’s majority and fight hard to Dump Durbin. By attending, you are helping support efforts to give Republicans the ability to protect Illinois taxpayers from the corrupt Pritzker-Madigan agenda.

Be Part of History
Wednesday, January 20th, 2021. That is the date we swear in President Trump for a second time or lament America’s descent into socialism. The Illinois Republican State Convention is an important step in the project to ensure we continue making America great for another four years. Be part of the effort to keep Trump in the White House!

Rub Elbows with Your Fellow Republicans
In attendance will be thousands of Republicans from throughout Illinois, from Precinct Committeemen to County Chairman, from state legislators to Congressmen, from grassroots volunteers to the State Party Chairman and our special guest, Congressman Devin Nunes. This is your chance to meet your fellow Republicans from every corner of Illinois and celebrate our common desire to rebuild Illinois.

Become Even More Effective
The Illinois Republican Party is bringing in prominent experts to help Republicans become even stronger advocates for our Party and principles. Come and learn how to be an even more effective Precinct Committeeman or Ward/Township/County Chairman, get one-on-one help on how to utilize the Party’s grassroots resources like DataCenter and Advantage, and learn how to raise funds for your candidate or organization and how to effectively utilize social media to win campaigns.

Enjoy the Local Flavor
Our host city, Peoria, has so much to offer you and your family for a weekend of fun. Take a tour of Caterpillar’s World Headquarters, one of the largest employers in Illinois. See for yourself why Peoria was once called the “whiskey capital of the world” or sample the famous local live entertainment. Or take a short 20 minute trip to the Reagan Museum and Eureka College, where President Ronald Reagan attended college.
